WashU’s Skandalaris Center for Interdisciplinary Innovation and Entrepreneurship has two upcoming events of particular interest to women and other under-represented entrepreneurs.
HAVE YOUR GRIT is a panel discussion with author Jennifer Bardot and some of the women featured in her book, “Owning Your GRIT: 40 Women’s Stories of Harnessing the Power of Growth, Resilience, Intention, and Tenacity. Jennifer and her fellow panelists, all based in St. Louis, hold leadership positions in areas ranging from banking and consulting to corporate ownership and the not-for-profit sector. This is an online event.

MAKE CAPITAL ACCESSIBLE (AND ACCESSIBLE) focuses on understanding financial capital and how to access it. Brown School teacher Heather Cameron will share his research and the impact that capital (and access to it) has on under-represented entrepreneurs. Judith Goldkrand of Wells Fargo will discuss the types of core capital and how underrepresented entrepreneurs can access it. The event will also include Simon Initiative founder and award-winning author Dr Andi Simon. This is an online event.
Small group discussions with the speakers will follow the speakers’ presentations.
